The International Research Centre for Interactive Storytelling (IRIS) has been formed to explore new and emerging methods of storytelling through media and technology, based upon the research of its Director and Associate Director into interactive media storytelling.

Our activities will involve both film production and academic research. Hence, we aim to promote dialogue between creative practice and theoretical knowledge as related forms of research work and will provide the conditions for students and researchers to realise a wide range of possible interactive projects.

The research centre, although focusing on a very specific area of new media, will bring together an interdisciplinary network of researchers, practitioners and students in order to foster creative conversations around ground breaking interactive practice.
